BBA

BBA is the abbreviation of Bachelor in Business Administration. This course provides an insight on several of the managerial roles. They can choose the area that interests them from the various options. This is a graduation level course. In India, private and public colleges offer regular and correspondence BBA course. Some institutes conduct an entrance test for admission to BBA course



The degree is designed to give a broad knowledge of the functional areas of a company, and their interconnection, while also allowing for specialization in a particular area. BBA programs thus expose students to a variety of "core subjects" and allow students to specialize in a specific academic area. The degree also develops the student's practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. Many programs thus incorporate training and practical experience, in the form of case projects, presentations, internships, industrial visits, and interaction with experts from the industry.


DURATION

This course shall be of three years.


Eligibility:

The candidate should have passed HSC with a minimum of 40% marks. Also the candidate should have passed in subjects such as English at the HSC level. This is compulsory for all the major institutes offering BBA course. The duration of Bachelor of Business Administration course is three years. Required age is 17-22 years as on the date of the admission.

Higher studies options after BBA

Like other graduation courses candidates have the option to go in for Master’s course. Some of the options available are

  • >> MBA – This is one of the most popular options. The candidates will be to join the corporate world in Managerial roles after the course.
  • >> MCA – Candidate can choose this option if they fulfill criteria’s like having pursued Mathematics in 12th and one year of graduation. The criteria’s varies from institute to institute.
  • >> Post Graduate Diploma – There are various specialization like Finance, Information Technology etc.

The candidates have a wide range of areas from which they can select the courses to be pursued. Career scope after BBA

Candidate will need to join the firms at the executive level. These candidates are preferred for positions like HR and also Finance. With experience they will be able to grow to higher heights. It is important that the candidates pursue a career in an area where they believe their interest lies.


Remuneration:

The remuneration of BBA students is dependent on the type of organizations. Fresher's will earn around Rs. 8000 to Rs. 10,000 per month. With increase in experience individuals can make as much as Rs. 12,000 - Rs. 18,000 every month. This goes up as they gain more experience.


Jobs in Government Sector after BBA

In the Government sector the candidates must check the notifications for job opportunities regularly. They must visit portals for the same too. They have the option to apply for the jobs as per their interest. Some of the jobs preferred include the banking jobs. The nationalized banks are in need to candidates of this profile as they can use them for multitasking. Also another option available is that Civil Service stream. Also they have the option to appear for state level exams like PSC or the railways test etc.
